C8 Corvette

Today, I decided to write about the new corvette; the 2020 C8 Corvette. This car has a completely new platform from the previous C7 corvette. This all new corvette features a mid engine design making it probably the coolest corvette ever. This beast of a machine can rocket from 0-60 in less than 4 seconds in its stock form. Unfortunately, this all new vette only comes with an automatic transmission and car enthusiasts are not very happy about this. However, its base 6.2 liter V8 LT2 engine can still be shifted manually using paddle shifters located on the steering wheel. This is the first time since 1952 that Chevrolet has not offered the manual transmission. This change is done for good reason though; having the shifting controlled by a wire enables the center tunnel of the car to be completely sealed off, making the structural integrity much stronger. This means that tuners will be able to put a higher load of torque on this stock transmission without problems.

This all new corvette also has much more subtle changes that make a huge difference in performance and comfort. First off, this is the first corvette to remove leaf spring suspension and implement a more modern coil springs on all four corners of the car. This makes cornering faster, and a much more comfortable ride. This Corvette comes stock with 495 horsepower and 471 LB feet of torque making it the fastest stock corvette to be released. This sick ride also has a rev limiter at 6600 rpms just so you don’t have to much fun in your new supercar. Because of this new corvette being mid engine, the cockpit has moved forward a whole 17 inches. This makes getting into this beast much easier. Overall, this corvette in my opinion is the coolest one to come out yet and I think it will make an enormous impact on the car world.
